I highly recommend Amalie as a Maths teacher.  We have had the pleasure of her teaching our two children for the past 2 years.  Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts as well as more advanced topics are excellent.  She takes time to identify the children’s weak spots and rebuild missing blocks if required, she always prepares for the lessons in advance to cover the necessary. She’s always patient, friendly and both our children have fun learning from her.  Amalie is an excellent teacher and makes the lessons fun yet she is firm where necessary. 

Amalie is currently tutoring our son in Maths and English and we are extremely happy with the lessons she provides and with his progress so far. Amalie was quick to identify areas that required work and provided teaching to close any gaps in learning before moving on to more demanding concepts. Her sessions are professional and contain a very good range of learning materials that keep our son engaged and keen to learn. IT resources are excellent and seamless. Most of all, I appreciate the rapport she has built with our son and with us as well. Through her kind approach and high academic standards, she is able to support our family towards the 11 exams and we find her counsel and insights in this area invaluable.

Amalie taught my daughter last year in preparation for her 11 plus exams.  Amalie’s initial assessment of my daughter’s strengths and weaknesses was absolutely spot on.  She managed to fill in all the gaps in my daughter’s knowledge, during a fairly short period of time, building her confidence and helping her succeed.  Amalie’s approach was organised and calm.  She even managed to make studying for 11 plus exams fun!  My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons with Amalie and was energised by Amalie’s kind and joyful approach to teaching.   As a result, my daughter managed to secure all of her five high school choices she was interested in.  I would happily recommend Amalie as a fantastic tutor. 

Amalie has been a wonderful English tutor for our son. He always looks forward to his weekly lessons with Amalie and his progress with her has been excellent. Amalie has a wonderful personality which has helped her build a fantastic rapport with our son. She has taken the time and effort to get to know his strengths and weaknesses, thereby allowing her to create a tailored individual approach for him. Amalie encourages through a mix of fun activities combined with targeted coursework to address specific areas of improvement and that has made all the difference. Amalie is the nicest most genuine tutor we have come across and were blessed to have her. We would not hesitate to recommend Amalie as a Tutor for anyone requiring help with 11+ Maths or English.
